One of the successor empires formed in 19,500 BAF from the fracturing of the Empire of the Sun.

Alongside the Empire of the Eternal Star and the Empire of the Dawn, the Children of the Sun sought to continue the legacy of the original empire. It became one of several rivals whose wars defined the millennia following the fall of the Empire of the Sun.
