Surrian Banking Elite

Surrian Banking Elite

A powerful class of Surrian financiers whose interstellar wealth and influence rose sharply after the disbanding of the Final Union.

Surrian Bankers are mostly comprised of rich Surrian Noble Families with generational wealth; some families are hundreds, if not thousands, of years old, and they still sit upon vast fortunes.

Their alliances are only tied to the fact that they can make more money together.

A saying goes, "At the end of every trade a Surrian awaits its cut."

The general term for a Surrian is a "Surrian" — for most people it means banker, but it can also mean the species. The terms are sometimes confused, but there is a good chance a Surrian Banker is a Surrian species.

The Banking Elite quietly consolidated control over key galactic trade routes and, during The Resurge, gained significant influence over the political ranks of the Galactic Alliance itself, contributing to the corruption that hollowed the union from within.

Surrian Houses

The Banking Elite is composed of many influential Surrian noble houses, each wielding vast fortunes accumulated over generations. Among the most prominent are:

  • House Jarhadi — A storied house with deep roots in galactic finance.
  • House Misa — Known for their sharp political instincts and extensive trade networks.
  • Virma Dynasty — An ancient lineage whose wealth predates the Final Union.
  • The Wahir — A rising house that gained influence during the Resurge.
  • House Kell — A conservative house focused on traditional banking and mineral rights.
