Korgen

Korgen is a humanoid race who share a great resemblance to [[humans]]. Korgen and humans don't have a common ancestor, but their evolutionary histories were very similar, which has led to their appearance and biology being alike.

Korgen physiology is so similar to human physiology that there is a great overlap of medicine, surgery and biology that can be applied to both races.

Korgen skin tones do vary from humans, even including hues of blue, green and red. The sclera of their eyes is typically a bluer hue than those of humans, and a few select parts of their body have marked coloring of the underlying bones. But beyond that, humans and Korgen are very similar; with a bit of makeup, any Korgen could pass for human and vice versa.

Because of the similarity to humans, Korgen and humans have had a close bond for millennia, as their likeness naturally creates situations for collaboration between the two races. This kinship helped birth the joint colony of [[Eulia]], but also fed a shared superiority complex that shaped later Eulian nationalism.

Korgen and humans breathe a very similar mixture of atmosphere, although Korgen have a higher tolerance to breathing more toxic atmospheres, but have a lower ability to hold their breath than humans. However, they can train it to get a bit better.

There are roughly 50 billion humans in the galaxy and around 45 billion Korgen; together they make up an estimated 1/4th of the total galaxy population.

Korga is their ancient homeworld.
