Guide Forge
A Guide Forge is a specific type of Mass Generator — a colossal power plant that stores and creates energy by harvesting the atmosphere of a gas giant.
Principle
The principle of a Guide Forge is to place the colossal machine in orbit around a gas giant. The forge then lowers its siphon coil, which ionizes and pulls the surface gases of the planet toward the forge, where the gas is filtered to pure hydrogen.
Forging a Black Hole
The hydrogen is then superheated and compressed in the center of the forge, where it first becomes an artificial star through fusion, and is then further compressed until it collapses upon itself — becoming an energy-dense black hole. This black hole is then used as a battery, fed with more matter from the gas giant to keep the battery active.
